Islands of Biak-Supiori, Numfor, Manim and Meos Num in Geelvink Bay, north-western New Guinea.

Voice
A screech similar to Coconut Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus), but stronger and shorter.
Similar Species
Black-capped Lory (Lorius lory) which has a short tail, black cap, green upperwings and purple belly. Red-fronted Lorikeet (Charmosyna rubronotata) and Coconut Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus) are largely green.
