Subspecies
Forms a superspecies with Red-and-blue Lory (Eos histrio), Violet-necked Lory (Eos squamata), Red Lory (Eos bornea), Black-winged Lory (Eos cyanogenia) and Blue-eared Lory (Eos semilarvata).
No subspecies.
