Voice

Subspecies
No subspecies.
Forms a superspecies with Louisiade White-eye (Zosterops griseotinctus), Rennell White-eye (Zosterops rennellianus), Vella Lavella White-eye (Zosterops vellalavella), Gizo White-eye (Zosterops luteirostris) and Solomons White-eye (Zosterops kulambangrae), possibly with Kolombangara White-eye (Zosterops murphyi) also a member of same group. Most closely related to Gizo White-eye (Zosterops luteirostris) and sometimes treated as conspecific, but differs in plumage and morphology.
Similar Species
Female Olive-backed Sunbird (Cinnyris jugularis) which has a long decurved bill and no eye-ring.
