Status LC
Habitat clearance is the main threat. Much of the marginal habitat in western Western Australia, southern South Australia and north-west Victoria is unsuitable.
Eggs (Guide)
3 - 5, rarely 6; white; rounded; about 23 x 19 mm. Incubation: about 18 days; by female.
Young
Altricial, nidicolous. Fledge in about 28 days. They continue to maintan a loose association with their parents for some months.

No subspecies.
Similar Species
Female with Turquoise Parrot (Neophema pulchella), but they have different ranges and female Elegant Parrot (Neophema elegans) and female Blue-winged Parrot (Neophema chrysostoma) both of which has far less blue of the head.
