Subspecies
No subspecies.
May form a superspecies with Russet-crowned Warbler (Myiothlypis coronata). Has in the past been considered conspecific with Russet-crowned Warbler (Myiothlypis coronata) and, especially, Grey-throated Warbler (Myiothlypis cinereicollis), and may be closer to Grey-throated Warbler (Myiothlypis cinereicollis) on basis of similarities in vocalizations and altitudinal range.
