Habitat
Primary forest, selectively logged or secondary forest, scrub or tea plantations. From sea-level - 2,100 m.
Sri Lanka (B).
South-western Sri Lanka.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.
Status NT
Forest degradation and fragmentation due to excessive gathering of fuelwood, clearance for permanent agriculture, shifting cultivation, fire, urbanisation and logging, are the main threats.
