Habitat
Lower storey of montane forest, recently degraded forest, secondary forest and dense bushes at the forest edge and in forest opened up for agriculture. From 950 - 1,600 m, chiefly occurring between 1,050 - 1,400 m.

Voice
Rather thin, high-pitched contact call notes consisting of 'tsip-tsip-tsip', often in trills.
