Rimator malacoptilus (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) has been split into Long-billed Wren-Babbler (Rimator malacoptilus), Sumatran Wren-Babbler (Rimator albostriatus) and White-throated Wren-Babbler (Rimator pasquieri) following Collar (2006).
Formerly treated as conspecific with Long-billed Wren-Babbler (Rimator malacoptilus) and White-throated Wren-Babbler (Rimator pasquieri).
