Habits
Hops along ground in lowland rainforest, often in rather open areas. Often forages in mixed flocks including Spectacled Tetraka (Xanthomixis zosterops) and Long-billed Tetraka (Bernieria madagascariensis).
Food
Small insects, larvae and small spiders. Taken from lw shrubs and on the ground.

Relationships of genus with rest of family uncertain. Thought probable, on basis of similarities in plumage pattern, that present species is most closely related to Spectacled Tetraka (Xanthomixis zosterops).
