Voice
Calls presumably similar to Chestnut-capped Thrush (Geokichla interpres). Song more like a begging call than true song.

Subspecies
No subspecies.

Zoothera interpres (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) has been split into Chestnut-capped Thrush (Geokichla interpres) and Enggano Thrush (Geokichla leucolaema) by Collar (2004).

Usually treated as conspecific with Chestnut-capped Thrush (Geokichla interpres), but the two differ distinctly in plumage and moderately so in proportions.
