Habits
Singly and, perhaps more frequently, in small groups in the middle and upper forest storeys, and also in dense rattan undergrowth.
Voice
A loud drongo-like song of about 10 second phrases containing much repetition. Also soft, lisping 'chweep ...chweep'.

Subspecies
No subspecies.
Colluricincla megarhyncha (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) has been split into Little Shrike-thrush (Colluricincla megarhyncha) and Sangihe Whistler (Coracornis sanghirensis) following Rozendaal and Lambert (1999).
Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Little Shrike-thrush (Colluricincla megarhyncha).
Similar Species
Seram Golden Bulbul (Thapsinillas affinis), subspecies platenae, which is larger, more olive-green above, yellow on throat and belly.
