Subspecies
Often considered subspecies of Rough-faced Shag (Leucocarbo carunculatus). Some authors merge carunculatus, chalconotus and onslowi, and campbelli, ranfurlyi and colensoi into single species. Sometimes placed in Leucocarbo or Euleucocarbo.

No subspecies.
