Subspecies
A very distinctive monotypic genus characterized by notched primaries and short, very rounded wings; closely allied to Ptilinopus, perhaps most closely to those of proposed subgenus Chrysoena, Orange Dove (Chrysoena victor), Golden Dove (Chrysoena luteovirens) and Whistling Dove (Chrysoena viridis).
