Range (Guide)

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname.

Southern Surinam through north, central and interior southern Brazil to south-eastern Peru, eastern Bolivia, Paraguay and northern Argentina.

Subspecies
Forms a superspecies with Orange-fronted Parakeet (Eupsittula canicularis).

Proposed subspecies major probably represents southern populations of a cline of increasing size.
