Voice
A soft 'coo', repeated 5 - 35 times. Faster and slightly higer-pitched than Anchieta's Barbet (Stactolaema anchietae).
Subspecies
Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Whyte's Barbet (Stactolaema whytii).
