Southern Kenya (Namanga Hill and Chyulu Hills) and northern Tanzania (from Mt Hanang, Mbulu and Crater Highlands, Mt Ketumbeine and Longido east to northern Pare Mts). Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Ethiopian White-eye (Zosterops poliogastrus).
