Two disjunct regions in northern Peru: in eastern San Martín and adjacent west central Loreto, and along the Amazon in north-eastern Loreto (only on the south bank of the Amazon?). Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Rose-fronted Parakeet (Pyrrhura roseifrons).
