Chukotsky and Kamchatka Peninsulas, far-eastern Russia, Sakhalin and Japan, wintering south to Philippines, Indochina and Indonesian Archepeligo. Also known as examinandus. Considered by some authors to be two distinct species Japanese Leaf-warbler Phylloscopus xanthodryas and Kamchatka Leaf-warbler Phylloscopus examinandus. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Arctic Warbler (Phylloscopus borealis).
