Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).

rara (Salomonsen, 1977) - Mantalingajan Mts, in southern Palawan (western Philippines). Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).
calayensis (McGregor, 1921) - Calayan (off northern Luzon), in northern Philippines. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).
luzoniensis (Ogilvie-Grant, 1894) - Luzon and Mindoro (northern Philippines). Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).
nigrorum (Whitehead, J, 1897) - West-central Philippines (Panay, Negros). Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).
montigena (Mearns, 1905) - Mt Kitanglad, Mt McKinley and Mt Apo, in central Mindanao. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).
matutumensis Kennedy, 1987 - Mt Busa and Mt Matutum, in southern Mindanao. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).
daggayana Meyer de Schauensee & duPont, 1962 - North-central Mindanao (Misamis Oriental province). Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).
malindangensis Rand & Rabor, 1957 - Mt Malindang, in north-western Mindanao (southern Philippines). Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Snowy-browed Flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra).
