Range (Guide)

Aruba, Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Netherlands Antilles, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.

Vagrant to Grenada.

Subspecies
The following 4 subspecies are recognised:

nigrogularis (Hahn, 1819) - North-western and north-eastern Colombia (Caribbean region south to middle Magdalena Valley, and in Meta and Vichada), Venezuela (from Zulia east, mostly north of R Orinoco, to Delta Amacuro), Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana, and northern Brazil (Roraima and Amap�).
curasoensis Ridgway, 1884 - Netherlands Antilles (Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire).
helioeides Clark, AH, 1902 - Margarita I, off northern Venezuela.
trinitatis Hartert, 1913 - Trinidad, and nearby north-eastern Venezuela (Paria Peninsula).
