Subspecies
No subspecies.
Originally described in genus Dacnis, then transferred to Nemosia, and later placed in present monotypic genus. More recently, has been included within Chrysothlypis by some, but plumage very different, and the two also differ substantially in behaviour and in some morphological features. Provisionally retained in monotypic genus. Thorough review of relationships, including molecular analysis, is warranted.
