Habitat
Subtropical and tropical montane moist forest. From 1,500 - 3,400 m.
Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela.
Sierra de Perijá and Andes of Colombia and Venezuela south to central Peru; also coastal mountains of Venezuela in Aragua and Distrito Federal.

Closely related to Northern Citrine Warbler (Myiothlypis luteoviridis ) and Pale-legged Warbler (Myiothlypis signata ). Subspecies euophrys of Northern Citrine Warbler (Myiothlypis luteoviridis ) was in the past considered a subspecies of present species.
