Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:

isabellina Stegmann, 1932 - Northern Tibetan Plateau from eastern Kunlun Shan and Altun Shan east to western Qilian Mts.
ruficollis (Blanford, 1871) - Southern and eastern Tibetan Plateau east to central China (south-western Qinghai and western Sichuan), south to northern Himalayas (northern Nepal east to Sikkim).
