Subspecies
Proposed subspecies intensum (from Sikkim, in northern India) considered a synonym of chrysochlore.
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
chrysochlore Blyth, 1843 - Himalayan foothills from C
Nepal east to north-eastern India (Assam, south to Mizo Hills), eastern Bangladesh
(Chittagong Hills), Myanmar, southern China (western and south-eastern Yunnan) and
Indochina, and south to central peninsular Thailand (Isthmus of Kra).
chrysorrheum Temminck & Laugier, 1829 - Southern Thailand (south of Isthmus
of Kra) south to Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, Borneo, Java
(including Madura I) and Bali.
