Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:

nitens (Cassin, 1857) - Southern Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, southern Ivory Coast, southern Ghana, and from south-eastern Nigeria east to northern and central DRCongo and south to Gabon, PRCongo and extreme north-western Angola (Cabinda).
centralis Neumann, 1904 - North-eastern DRCongo.
