Habitat
Subtropical and tropical moist lowland forest.
Bangladesh (NB), India (B) (NB), Myanmar (NB), Nepal (B) (NB), Thailand (NB).
Unknown to Bhutan (NB).
Breeds in Himalayan foothills in northern India (Himachal Pradesh south to northern Uttar Pradesh) and Nepal. Non-breeding range in Assam, north-eastern and central Bangladesh, Myanmar and western Thailand.
