Kenrick's Starling (Poeoptera kenricki) [XC697669]

Subspecies
May form a superspecies with Stuhlmann's Starling (Poeoptera stuhlmanni) and has been considered conspecific. Birds from Kenya described as subspecies bensoni, supposedly larger than those in Tanzania. However, overlap in measurements apparently considerable, and recognition of geographical subspecies considered unwarranted.
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
bensoni (van Someren, 1945) - Montane forests of central Kenya.
