Subspecies
No subspecies.

May form a superspecies with Eyebrowed Jungle-flycatcher (Vauriella gularis), White-throated Jungle-flycatcher (Vauriella albigularis) and White-browed Jungle-flycatcher (Vauriella insignis) and all previously regarded as conspecific, but now considered to differ sufficiently to warrant treatment as separate species.
