Habitat
Subtropical woodland.

Range (Guide)
Japan (E) (B).

Endemic to Ogaswara Island, Japan. Also Chichi-jima.
 
Rarity Status
Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.

Status EX
Probably extinct. Last seen on Chichi-jima, June 1828. Probably exterminated by introduced mammals.
