Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest. Also, subtropical and tropical lowland moist shrubland and mangroves.
Papua New Guinea (B) (NB).
Admiralty Islands of Manus, Rambutyo, Tong and Lou in Papua New Guinea.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.
Status NT
Habitat destruction through logging is the main threat.

Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
- infelix (Sclater, 1877) - Manus I, in Admiralty Is.
- coultasi (Mayr, 1955) - Rambutyo, Tong and perhaps other islands off Manus. Not considered value by some authors.
