Maupiti in the Society Islands (French Polynesia).
 
Rarity Status
Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.

Status EX
Known only from the type it was collected on Maupiti, Society Islands, French Polynesia, by Blosseville in 1823. It presumably became extinct soon after possibly due to habitat destruction and predation by introduced species.
