Subtropical and tropical lowland and montane moist forest, subtropical and tropical dry forest, heavily degraded former forest, arable land, dry savanna.
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia (B), China (mainland), India, Laos (B), Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.
Most of Indian Subcontinent (south to Sri Lanka) east to Myanmar, southern and south-eastern China (including Hainan), Thailand (except S) and Indochina.
