Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest. From sea-level - 180 m.

Range (Guide)

Indonesia (B) (NB), Papua New Guinea (B) (NB).

Northern New Guinea from eastern side of Geelvink Bay east through Meervlakte (Lakeplain) and presumably Idenburg (Taritatu) basin and northern coastal lowlands to Vanimo area and north-western reaches of Sepik R drainage (Utai).

Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.

Status NT
Clearing of lowland forest for development is the main threat.
