Nest
Domed, with a side-entrance neqar the top, composed of plant fibers and leaf-skeletons, lined with feathers, hidden in vegetation near the ground.

Eggs (Guide)
2; pale purplish white, finely speckled dark brown, forming a zone at the larger end; swollen-oval; about 20 x 15 mm.

Young
Altricial, nidicolous.

Subspecies
No subspecies.

Similar Species
Large-billed Scrubwren (Sericornis magnirostra) which is lighter and tends to forage in mid-levels of the rainforest.
