Habitat
Subtropical and tropical montane moist forest.
USA (E) (B).
Rarity Status
Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.
Status EX
Known historically from the big island of Hawai`i, USA, although fossil remains are also known from Oahu and Maui. Last collected between 1840 and 1859. Extinction presumably due to deforestation, introduced predators and avian malaria.
