Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist shrubland. From 50 - 200 m.
Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru.
R Amazon and lower reaches of major tributaries from south-eastern Colombia, eastern Ecuador (R Napo) and north-eastern Peru (south to lower R Huallaga) east to north-central Brazil (mouth of R Tapajós); extends well up R Madeira, reaching at least mouth of R Ji-Paraná (Rondônia).
