Habitat
Subtropical and tropical moist montane forest. From 2,000 - 3,000 m, occasionally down to 1,700 m.
Colombia, Ecuador, Peru.
E, central and northern end of western Andes of Colombia, and eastern slope in Ecuador and extreme northern Peru (Cerro Chinguela).
