Ihering & Ihering, 1907

Habitat
Middle storey of the lowland Atlantic forest interior, secondary growth. From sea-level - 400 m, but locally up to 1,000 m.

Range (Guide)
Argentina (B), Brazil (B), Paraguay (B).

South-eastern Brazil (south-eastern Mato Grosso do Sul east to Espí­rito Santo, south to Santa Catarina), eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina (Misiones).
 
Rarity Status
Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.

Population
Estimated population is 2,500 - 9,999 (2010) and decreasing.

Status NT
Habitat destruction and degradation through agricultural conversion and deforestation for coffee, banana and rubber plantations is the main threat.
