Nest
A shallow cup of leaves with a slight canopy, on the ground.

Eggs (Guide)
8 - 12; slightly glossy, greyish-green, heavily spotted and blotched with reddish-brown and grey. Incubation: about 16 days; mainly by female.

Subspecies
Great variation in colour within all populations renders impractical recognition of subspecies similis of Kazakhstan.
