Information
It has not been recorded since 1904. Known from six skins and a single egg taken on Choiseul, Solomon Islands.
Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest.
Solomon Islands (E) (B).
Rarity Status
Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.
Status EX
Extinct. Presumably caused by predation by feral dogs and cats, as suitable habitat survives on the island.

A low 'crooo-crooo-crooo' according to local people.
