Jamaica, especially in John Crow Mts, eastern part of Blue Mts and Cockpit Country. One specimen (in Paris) reportedly taken in Puerto Rico.

Habits
Usually small flocks when feeding. Large flocks when moving to feeding locations.
Voice
A guttural 'cru-cru-croooo' descending on the last note. Also a repeated 'uhu-cooo' with emphasis on last note.
