The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
- segmentata (Cassin, 1849) - Colombia (western slope of Andes and eastern Andes) and northern Ecuador.
- kalinowskii (von Berlepsch & Stolzmann, 1894) - Central Peru (slopes of eastern Andes) and western and central Bolivia.
