Coastline from western Hainan to Malay Peninsula, including Mergui Archipelago (off southern Myanmar); coastal northern Borneo and southern Philippines (Palawan to Panay).

Bracket-shaped, composed of layers of hardened saliva attached to a rocky surface, in a cave or on a building. In colonies.

2; matte, white; oval.

Subspecies
Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Edible-nest Swiftlet (Aerodramus fuciphagus).

The following 2 subspecies are recognised:

germani Oustalet, 1876 - Southeast Asia, Borneo, Philippines.
amechanus (Oberholser, 1912) - Anambas Islands (South China Sea).
