Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest. From sea-level - 1,000 m.
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay.
Central and southern Brazil, eastern Paraguay (Oriente) and northern Argentina (Misiones); may also breed in Serranía de Huanchaca, north-eastern Bolivia, where recently recorded.
