Habits
Forages in pairs or small flocks.
Food
Flowers, seeds, fruit and catkins. Ceiba fruit apparently preferred. Also bananas and maize.
Voice
Flight call is a trilling 'stleeet stleeet'. When perched a grating 'stteeet stteeet'.

Similar Species
Noticeably smaller than sympatric parrots, except tiny Pacific Parrotlet (Forpus coelestis), which is much smaller and shorter tailed.
