Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest.
Guadeloupe (E) (B), Martinique (E) (B).
Rarity Status
Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.
Status NR
Described by Du Tertre in 1654 and 1677, and by Labat in 1742, amongst others. No specimens exist. It was rare by 1760, and presumably became extinct soon after. Extinction presumably caused by hunting.
