Subspecies
Subspecies dilutus often misspelt diluatus.

The following 2 subspecies are recognised:

madagascariensis (Linnaeus, 1766) - Madagascar except south-west.
dilutus (Benson, 1974) - Sakaraha, in arid Swest of Madagascar.
