Vagrant to Algeria, Benin, China (mainland), Côte dIvoire, Cyprus, France, Ghana, Hungary, Malta, Oman, Spain, Syrian Arab Republic, Togo.

Introduced to Austria, Belgium (B), Denmark (B), Netherlands Antilles (B), United Arab Emirates (B), United Kingdom (B) (NB).

Africa south of Sahara, Nile Valley. Introduced in Britain.
