Habitat
High grassland plateaux and the edge of heavy alpine scrub with trees, From 3,000 - 4,200 m.

Range (Guide)
Indonesia (B) (NB).

Kemabu Plateau, and Mt Wilhelmina and Mt Carstenz (Snow Mts), Irian Jaya, western New Guinea.

Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.
