Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
longirostris Ogilvie-Grant, 1905 - Southern Burma and southern Thailand south through Malay Peninsula to Sumatra; western and southern Borneo.
dulitensis Ogilvie Grant, 1895 - Mountains of northern Borneo. Considered by some authors to be a distinct species, Dulit Partridge (Rhizothera dulitensis).
